Common faults of small rollers

As one of the common engineering equipment, small rollers will encounter various failures during use. This article will analyze common faults and solutions of small rollers, aiming to help users better understand and use this equipment.

Common faults of small rollers

1. Air filter and valve clearance failure

1. Due to the harsh working environment of some small rollers, the dirt accumulated in the air filter for a long time blocks the air from entering the combustion chamber, causing the fuel to be extremely oxygen-deficient when ignited, making it impossible to start normally. The troubleshooting method is to replace the air filter.
2. Valve clearance adjustment is very important on the engine. If the clearance is too small, it may cause air leakage, power drop, severe valve seal appearance, burnt rings and carbon deposits, or even valve impact on the piston. Excessive clearance can lead to insufficient engine air intake, dirty exhaust and reduced power. It can also increase the number of collisions of valve train parts and accelerate wear. Over time, it can cause irreversible damage to the engine. If you encounter this situation and cannot start, your roller must be in the repair shop, so valve clearance adjustment must be performed by professionals.

2. Lubricating oil aging and inferior fuel

1. The lubricating oil inside the engine has been used for too long and the viscosity adjustment is too large. Especially in winter, the large amount of impurities in the lubricating oil causes the engine to need to be started repeatedly. In this case, you need to check whether the lubricating oil is missing. If it is missing, the remaining lubricating oil is of poor quality and needs to be replaced with new lubricating oil.
2. In low-quality diesel fuel, when the temperature is low in winter, the impurities in the oil are less than the standard purity, causing the solid paraffin oil supply system to become clogged in the oil pipe. In this case, it is necessary to drain the fuel (reserve it for summer use) and add high-quality diesel. Then a fire was built next to the roller to melt the paraffin inside the oil pipe until it could be started. Work can only be done after the poor-quality fuel remaining in the fuel supply pipeline is used up.

3. Battery failure

In winter, the battery capacity of the ride-on roller body decreases as the temperature drops (for machines that have been used for more than 2 years), insufficient power causes difficulty in starting. In this case, it is necessary to replace the battery with a new one or repair the battery.

Various failures may occur with small rollers during use. When users encounter the above problems, they can perform basic inspections and repairs, but for complex failures, it is recommended to seek help from professional technicians. Only by troubleshooting in time can the normal operation of the road roller be ensured and work efficiency improved.
