Product Introduction
Caterpillar 140K motor grader is a product of Caterpillar Co., Ltd. It is combined with Caterpillar C7 engine, power shift transmission and load sensing hydraulic device, which can complete the leveling work efficiently and quickly. Product Features
1. Cat C7 ACERT engines meet US EPA Tier 3/EU Stage IIIA equivalent emission standards or Tier 2/Stage II equivalent emission standards depending on specific country emission standards. The engine is paired with a powershift countershaft transmission for maximum power transfer to the ground.
2. Electronic throttle control helps increase productivity by optimizing power and torque to meet the power demands of the application. High blade angles, optimized moldboard curvature and wide throat clearance allow material to roll more freely along the blade for increased efficiency. On-demand hydraulic fans automatically adjust speed to match cooling needs, maximizing power transfer to the ground and improving fuel efficiency. An engine idle shutdown feature is available that shuts off the engine after a set period of time, saving fuel and helping to reduce emissions.
3. Proportional Priority Pressure-Compensating (PPPC, Proportional Priority Pressure-Compensating) provides excellent control, enhanced performance and higher efficiency for load sensing hydraulic systems. The optional automatic shift transmission improves ease of operation and maximizes productivity by allowing the transmission to automatically shift into the optimum gear. Rocker arms and control switches are within easy reach. Proven conventional controls provide industry-standard control patterns and feel for precise cutting edge motion.
4. Rugged nylon composite wear inserts maximize turntable torque and extend component life. Brass moldboard slide wear strips are located between the blade mounting assembly and moldboard and are easily adjustable and replaceable. The left service area is close to the ground to speed up maintenance and ensure timely routine repairs.
5. The operator can clearly observe the moldboard root and tandem tires, improving productivity and operating safety. The blade lift accumulator absorbs impact loads experienced by the moldboard by allowing the blade to move vertically.
6. Brakes are installed on each wheel of the double-wheel set, and the total braking area is the largest in the industry, so the braking force is very reliable. A standard circle drive slip clutch protects the drawbar, circle and moldboard from shock loads when the blade encounters hard-to-move objects. A ground-level engine shutdown switch allows anyone nearby to shut down the engine in an emergency.
