Simple troubleshooting methods for common faults of second-hand bulldozers

Second-hand bulldozers are a common type of engineering machinery and play an important role in construction sites. However, long-term use and improper maintenance may cause various malfunctions of second-hand bulldozers. This article will briefly introduce the common faults of second-hand bulldozers and their troubleshooting methods.

Simple troubleshooting methods for common faults of second-hand bulldozers

Hydraulic system failure

The hydraulic system is one of the core components of a bulldozer. Common faults include excessive hydraulic oil temperature, hydraulic pump oil leakage, etc.
The elimination method is as follows:
1. The hydraulic oil temperature is too high: Check whether the cooling system is working properly, clean the radiator, and ensure good cooling effect; check whether the hydraulic oil is too much or too little, and add or replace the hydraulic oil in time.
2. Hydraulic pump oil leakage: First check whether the sealing ring is worn or aged, and if necessary, replace the sealing ring in time; if the main body of the hydraulic pump is damaged, the entire hydraulic pump needs to be replaced.

Transmission system failure

Transmission system failure is a common problem for second-hand bulldozers, mainly including the walking machine having no power and abnormal transmission, etc.
The elimination method is as follows:
1. The walker has no power: first check whether the drive chain is too loose or too tight, and adjust it to the appropriate tension; if the chain is normal, check whether the sprocket and chain are worn or broken, and replace them in time if necessary.
2. Transmission abnormality: Check whether the amount of transmission oil is normal, and if it is insufficient, add more; check whether the transmission oil is dirty, and replace the transmission oil if necessary; if the internal parts of the transmission are damaged, the faulty parts need to be repaired or replaced.

Electrical system failure

Electrical system failure may cause the second-hand bulldozer to be unable to start or operate normally. Common failures include circuit short circuit, insufficient battery power, etc.
The elimination method is as follows:
1. Circuit short circuit: Check whether the circuit lines are obviously damaged or have poor contact, repair or replace the damaged circuit lines; check whether the electrical equipment is working normally, and if there is a fault, it needs to be repaired or replaced in time.
2. Insufficient battery power: Check whether the battery is charged. If the battery power is too low, it needs to be charged or replaced; check whether the generator is working normally. If there is a fault, the generator needs to be repaired or replaced.

Lubrication system failure

Failure of the lubrication system may lead to increased wear of the mechanical components of second-hand bulldozers. Common failures include oil seal leakage, lubricating oil contamination, etc.
The elimination method is as follows:
1. Oil seal leaks: Check whether the oil seal is damaged or aged, and replace the oil seal in time if necessary; check whether the bearings are lubricated normally, and add lubricating oil or grease if necessary.
2. Dirty lubricating oil: Change the lubricating oil regularly and clean or replace the oil filter to ensure the normal operation of the lubrication system.
